A winter guard costume is much more than something performers wear on the performance floor, it is an essential part of bringing the artistic vision of a production to life. Designed specifically for each show, costumes help create a unified ensemble, enhance movement, support storytelling, and visually connect the performers to the music and choreography.
Sponsor our required Liability Insurance
Liability insurance is an essential part of protecting Praxis Independent Winter Guard, our performers, staff, volunteers, and the facilities where we rehearse and perform. As an independent performing arts organization that works with young adults, travels, rehearses, and uses equipment and facilities, having appropriate liability coverage is a requirement by Winter Guard International (WGI) to help protect Praxis from the financial impact of unforeseen accidents, injuries, or property damage.
A winter guard performance floor is a custom printed vinyl floor covering that provides performers with a consistent, safe, and visually defined surface on which to rehearse and compete. Beyond helping protect performers and equipment, the floor becomes an important part of the production itself, often incorporating colors, imagery, and design elements that complement the show's theme and enhance the visual presentation.
Our rehearsal facility is an essential part of building Praxis and preparing our performers for each season. Each weekend, our cast and staff rely on a local high school facility we use as our base of operations to rehearse, develop choreography, refine our production, and build the cohesive team we envision. This fee is a significant ongoing expense for our organization, and your support will help us maintain a consistent, safe, and accessible place for our performers to train, create, and grow together throughout the season.
A custom-printed winter guard flag is a specially designed performance flag created to complement the music, choreography, costumes, and visual story of a production. Because flags can dramatically change the look and feel of a performance, Praxis may use two to three different sets of custom-printed flags throughout our show, allowing us to introduce new colors, imagery, and visual moments as the production develops. Each set is custom-produced specifically for our ensemble, making them a significant production expense.
Sponsor our WGI registration fees
Participation in Winter Guard International (WGI) events like regionals and world championships comes with significant registration and participation expenses, which are essential to allowing our performers to compete alongside independent guards from across the country. As a new organization, every contribution makes a meaningful difference in helping us cover these costs and ensure our members have the opportunity to experience this incredible season.
Sponsor our WGPO registration fees
Participation in Winter Guard and Percussion of Oklahoma (WGPO) requires registration and participation expenses, in addition to the expenses we incur to participate in WGI. WGPO is Oklahoma’s organized winter guard circuit and operates under WGI rules and regulations, providing performers from across the state and region with the opportunity to compete, perform, and grow within a structured competitive environment.
Sponsor our trip to compete at World Championships
As we prepare for our inaugural season, Praxis Independent Winter Guard is working toward the incredible opportunity to attend and compete at WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio, in April. Traveling with a competitive performance ensemble requires significant expenses, including transportation, lodging, meals, event registration, and other participation costs. As a new organization, these expenses represent a substantial investment in our performers and program. Your support will help make this experience possible for our inaugural cast and give our performers the opportunity to take the floor at one of the most significant events in the winter guard community.
